What it Means to Soar

Posted on May 13, 2014

It’s too late – we’ve fallen under a spell.
It’s a constant force like gravity.
Desire makes us lighter than air.
If no one approves, well we’ll just fly away.

So hold on with no anchor, with no ground.

No one can say we’re falling, no,
If we never touch the ground.
We’ll break free from this clumsy world,
And show them what love can do.
And what it means to soar.

Are we in danger if we never come down?
And must we give up all we’ve ever known?
From this perspective, the world’s too small to seem real.
We’ve gone too far to ever get back home.

So hold on with no baggage with no route.

No one can say we’re falling, no,
If we never touch the ground.
We’ll break free from this clumsy world,
And show them what love can do.
And what it means to soar.

No one can say we’re falling, no,
If we never touch the ground.
We’ll break free from this clumsy world,
And show them what love can do.
And what it means to soar.
